The most painful experience with DVDs are the ads that appear before you reach the menu. Some even prevent you from skipping over them (although there are ways around this).
It makes me wonder, why do content providers like to punish their legitimate users? I’ve bought this DVD, and now I have to wait as they show other services and movies (which will be out of date in a few months). If I pirated this film then I’d skip straight to the movie.
Priorities from the entertainment industry seem really messed up. Make it hard for legitimate users, which drives them into pirating content. Maybe they should look at their own practices?
